This custom clamshell enclosure, The Branded Box, is designed to preserve Philip Fracassi’s Boys in the Vally, specifically the Holy Bible Edition rebind by Paul Michael Kane at 19th Edition - a tale of faith and fear carved into flesh.
Constructed from archival-grade binder’s board, the case is wrapped in black vegan leather with a subtle goatskin texture—dark, supple, and brooding. The tray walls are clad in deep blue linen book cloth, and the tray floors are lined with gray Laval suede, creating a quiet contrast and a smooth, refined cradle for the volume.
The recessed spine and front cover labels draw inspiration from the stranger: wounded, branded, and full of omen. The label’s design echoes the runes and ritual marks etched across his flesh, rendered in dark tones and sealed beneath archival acrylic for longevity and UV protection.
Built to endure what the body could not, this is a vault for a story that scars.
